Alyssa Krug - Executive Director and Founder
Alyssa has been in the security industry for more than ten years—during which she developed the White Wolf Self-Defense program which she teaches to individuals and groups. As co-creator of the Cooper-Krug Risk Assessment, she worked with renowned F.B.I. profiler Greg Cooper to develop solutions to combat the rising violence in our schools. Among her many credentials, Alyssa has four black belt certifications in karate, taekwondo, jiu-jitsu and Krav Maga. She is a victim’s advocate for The Cold Case Foundation, has received the F.B.I. Citizens Academy Certification and is also a winner of Utah’s Hometown Hero Award.
Tony Soriano - President and Director of Mage Fire Gaming
Tony has a passion for helping people. He started out in insurance and decided to take his passion to the next level, becoming and EMT and Firefighter. He is currently in charge of the foundations biggest fundraising event at FanX. And is also and instructor in our white wolf self defense program. He is also a fabulous Dungeon Master.
Mathew Gemmell - Vice President
Mariah Nelson - Secretary
Mariah has a background in marketing and events, and lends her time and energy to the Foundation for the Prevention of Violence each year at FanX. She is proud to support the foundation's mission of building safer communities through event volunteering and community engagement.
Jared Anderson - Marketing Director
With a bachelor's in Digital Audio and certifications from the Digital Marketing Institute and the American Marketing Association, Jared has spent the past few years creating marketing content in a variety of formats, including film, animation, podcasts, and everything in between. As FPV's Marketing Director, Jared oversees our promotion and advertising efforts to raise money and build awareness for our programs.
Stephanie Godwin - Programming Director
Stephanie is the Vice President, Creative Director, and Director of Programming of FPV. As our jack of all trades, she uses her years of experience in myriad fields to teach self-defense, write copy, and design art for our charity auction and FanX Gaming Floor. Stephanie is currently on sabbatical
Jordan Johnson - Volunteer Director
Jordan began as a volunteer Dungeon Master at FanX, showing up to lead Dungeons & Dragons games before moving to dedicated support of up-and-coming volunteers. Jordan enjoys providing help in any way he can, using his skills in website development, digital broadcasting, and community management. He has received the FBI Citizens' Academy certification at the behest of the Foundation and seeks new ways to help the Foundation spread its message.
Cameron Urban - White Wolf Director
Cameron started his journey with the Foundation as a volunteer at FanX, but spent a year training to become an instructor for White Wolf Self Defense. He specializes in gun safety and weapon defense. He is now the director of White Wolf but also remains a manager for all events for the foundation.
Our Board Members
Andrew Bates
Andrew is an attorney licensed to practice in California. He is also a Police Lieutenant with 20 years of law enforcement experience, including threat assessment. He teaches how to deal with and prevent workplace harassment/intimidation and has personally investigated those types of claims. Andrew is passionate about protecting the rights of victims and achieving a just result. Andrew has formed and served as both an advisor and board member for several non-profit organizations in the past. He is also a licensed pilot.
Charles King
Charles began his career in counseling on track to become a Chaplain for the US Military and, ten years later, he is now a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. As FPV’s lead therapist, Charles has been instrumental in creating the gaming therapy modules for Mage Fire Gaming and helping as a volunteer manager at FanX.
